Einleitung

The SOS Children's Villages worldwide Hermann-Gmeiner-Fonds Deutschland e.V. is an independent, non-denominational children's rights organization. With its headquarters in Munich and offices in Berlin and Düsseldorf, the organization has been supporting the global projects of SOS Children's Villages since 1963. 200 employees are committed to the vision of “For a world that lets you grow”. With almost 3,000 programs in over 130 countries, the organization offers help to children, young people and families in need through education, medical care and family strengthening. The focus is on strengthening the family, sustainability, children's rights and cultural sensitivity.
 
To support our Scholarships & Educational Development department with the financial processes, we are looking for a Working Student (20 hours/week).

Your Tasks:

  • Assist with entering and updating program data in databases and spreadsheets
  • Check database entries for completeness and accuracy, and correct any errors identified
  • Track payments made to scholarship recipients, ensuring all transactions are properly documented
  • Flag and report any discrepancies or mismatches in data or payment records
  • Help maintain and update tracking tools, access lists, and send out relevant documents as needed
  • Support the preparation of summary reports and compiling financial documentation as needed
  • Provide general administrative assistance to the team

Your profile:

  • You are currently enroled in a university studying Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or comparable studies.
  • High affinity for numbers.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Accurate and reliable way of working.
  • Experienced with MS Office.
  • A proactive approach and ability to solve problems and suggest improvements.
  • Structured, independent and responsible way of working.
  • Very good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Good knowledge of English and German.
