Your responsibilities:
As head of data and digital transformation you will drive the digital transformation of SOS Kinderdörfer weltweit, lead a cross-functional project team and supervise our marketing intelligence and online teams. You will closely work on digitalization topics with colleagues from different departments at SOS Kinderdörfer weltweit as well as with colleagues from other SOS Children’s Villages Associations and our international general secretariat.

- Drive the further development of our digital transformation strategy in close collaboration with the senior leadership of SOS Kinderdörfer weltweit and lead the ongoing change management for a digital transformation.
- Setup a project portfolio management, keep an overview on and steer the implementation of data and digitalization projects.
- Oversee our IT architecture, data structures, systems and core processes.
- Establish a service management approach for SOS Kinderdörfer weltweit.
- Develop a data strategy, incl. how to capture, link and use data for fundraising, marketing and program work while complying with data protection and privacy requirements.
- Support the build-up of skills required for digital transformation at SOS Kinderdörfer weltweit and consult other departments on how to optimize processes applying the opportunities of digitalization.
- Strengthen expertise and partnerships on data science and KI, e.g., to optimize targeting and donor experience for NGOs.
- Supervise the marketing intelligence team who is responsible for our donor database and serves as a sparring partner for fundraising and marketing teams. The team, formulates data-driven recommendations on optimized segmentation & selections along the donor journeys and on new fundraising opportunities. It also evaluates performance of marketing and fundraising activities across segments and channels.
- Supervise our digital team who develops, maintains and optimizes our websites, steers our digital marketing and fundraising channels and drives our web and digital fundraising strategy.
Your profile:
- You have at least 3-7 years of relevant working experience in project management, process optimization, change management and/or digitalisation.
- You hold a university degree in business, information technology of similar.
- You have a track record of managing projects and driving organisational change and you are used to leading agile teams on digital transformation or related topics.
- You are a strong communicator and you are able to explain complex topics in a simple way and to “translate” between business and IT requirements.
- You have first experience in customer relationship management, fundraising or similar.
- You are proficient in English and have at least medium German language skills (at least B2).
